How are truck road tolls planned across Europe?
- Germany’s Toll Collect rate depends on technically permissible maximum laden mass, axle count, EURO emission class and CO₂ emission class. Enter only kilometres actually driven on the Toll Collect network.
- Poland’s e-TOLL rate depends on road class, permitted vehicle or combination mass and EURO class. Calculate A/S and G/GP kilometres separately; the PLN amount is converted to EUR using the ECB rate stored in our database.
- Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia apply time-based road-user charges to trucks, so they cannot be calculated with a simple “all country kilometres × €/km” formula.
- The calculated average toll €/km for the whole trip can be passed to the True Cost €/km calculator.
Important: Automatic mode gets the truck route and tolls from HERE using the entered vehicle profile; the manual tariff mode remains available as a fallback. Confirm the final category and price in the official national portal before the trip.
