Data controller

The data controller is the EuroTruckTools service operator identified below. Data-protection questions may be sent to the listed email address.

Data we process

• Account and company data: name, email, company name, contact details, role and account-security status.
• BETA and team-invitation data: recipient email, invitation status and expiry time.
• Route, cargo and contact data entered in transport requests when you save such a request to a company workspace.
• Technical security and usage events: page / calculator action, time and a pseudonymous visitor identifier. Calculator form inputs are not written to the general analytics log.
• Convenience preferences may be stored locally in your browser, such as selected fuel country or recent calculation values.

Purposes and legal bases

We use data to provide accounts and company workspaces, perform requested features, send invitations and security messages, limit abuse, diagnose the service and improve it. Where processing is necessary for an account or requested feature, it relates to performance of a contract or steps before entering one; security and limited technical analytics are based on the legitimate interest of keeping the service stable and secure.

Cookies and local storage

A strictly necessary session cookie is used for sign-in, authentication and security. At this stage EuroTruckTools does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Some calculators use browser localStorage to keep convenience values on your device.

Retention

Account and company data are kept while the account or workspace is active and for as long as reasonably needed for legitimate accounting, security or dispute purposes. Single-use tokens have limited validity. Pseudonymous usage-analytics events are retained for no more than 90 days. Other technical logs and diagnostics are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and aggregated usage analysis, then deleted or anonymised.

Recipients and service providers

Data is not sold to advertisers. It may be processed by infrastructure, email or other technical providers only as needed to operate EuroTruckTools and subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

Your rights

Under applicable data-protection law you may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of your personal data and, where applicable, object to processing or obtain a portable copy. You also have the right to complain to the competent data-protection supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when features, service providers or legal requirements change. Material changes relevant to account users will be presented clearly in the service or by another appropriate method.

Purchases and Stripe

When you purchase a digital Excel product, we process your email, selected product, amount, language, order and download status and, if supplied, company name. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and are not received or stored by EuroTruckTools. Order data is retained as needed for the contract, accounting, security and legal claims.

For company subscriptions, we also process the selected plan, subscription and invoice status, billing period, company account reference and Stripe customer, subscription and price identifiers. Stripe processes payment details and billing-address or tax information entered in Checkout. EuroTruckTools does not store full card details.
