How to build a minimum freight rate

Start with the cost of every mile caused by the load, not only the loaded miles.
Add trip-specific costs before solving for the target gross margin so the quote covers them too.
Rate per loaded mile is useful for quoting, but cost per all miles is the safer profitability check.
